CONSTRUCTION

Coordinated the Design and Construction of three homes built for re-sale (spec) in Pine Mountain Lake: Unit 8, Lot 9 in 1978, Unit 2, Lot 262 in 1990 and Unit 13, Lot 230 in 2000. All sold quick!

Designed and Contracted our own solar home on 10 acres east of PML in 1985

Designed and had Built 3 homes in 1997 and ‘98: Unit 4, Lot 505 for my mother-in-law; Unit 3, Lot 264 for a friend; and Unit 5E, lot 13 on the golf course for our own investment rental

Construction Committee Chair 1997-2001 Groveland Yosemite Gateway Museum and Library   building: 8900 square feet


Land Development Division of 118 acres into 5 parcels 2006-2009. Coordinated fire clearance, road building, engineering, surveying, lumber milling, well drilling, etc. We now have 20, 27 and 30 acre parcels for sale one mile from Groveland, on Moonrise Trail. On a separate, adjacent 38 acre parcel we are building a barn/garage and our next home.

LAND USE PLANNING EXPERIENCE

Tuolumne County Planning Department 1978 through 1987

Assistant Planning Director since 1980. Trained and supervised 13 person staff of Planners, Draftsmen, and Secretaries. California Environmental Quality Act reviews for all County projects. Presented Planning recommendations to Planning Commission. After adoption of the 1980 General Plan implemented rezoning of entire County.

President, Tuolumne County Management Association, 1981-83

Land Division Ordinance Coordinated complete re-write, a 4 year project involving five development departments and a citizen committee of surveyors and developers. Adopted 1987

County Wildlife Project Conceived and coordinated, working with a committee of developers, wildlife experts and officials to set policy limits. Habitat types were mapped on all private lands and mapping was integrated into a step-by-step analysis to determine acceptable impacts of each development project on wildlife. Adopted 1987

 EDUCATION

Bachelor of Arts Degree University of California, Santa Cruz, 1975, in Environmental Studies. Taught environmental education in 1977 for Upward Bound in Yosemite, and in 1976 for Hidden Villa Farm, Los Altos. AA degree from Merced College. Graduate courses in Land Use Planning at San Jose State.

BUYERS & PROSPECTS

  • Inform prospective buyers of local: Weather, schools, places to stay, eat and play, outdoor burning, firewood permits, zoning regulations, wildlife, pet restrictions, plants and landscaping, geography
  • Go on agent tours to get familiar with the new house listings or preview houses on their own
  • Show houses to prospective buyers
